About Our Firm

The firm began in 2010 when Eric Rosenberg and David Ball decided that ‘big law firms’ were not the best way to serve their clients and the communities they feel compelled to help. They chose to build a firm where attorneys can zealously advocate for clients while answering other callings.

With the founding of Rosenberg & Ball, Eric could also operate a nonprofit organization that provided Fair Trade and microfinance opportunities for trafficked and economically marginalized women in Asia and Africa, and engage in ministries that help immigrants, the homeless, and prisoners. He did all of this while raising two daughters. Eric simultaneously developed a thriving litigation practice that focuses on civil rights, education, employment, and business litigation, and achieved multiple jury verdicts exceeding $1,000.000.

In addition, Eric developed a nationwide practice of representing individuals falsely accused of sexual misconduct in university disciplinary proceedings. Eric and attorneys Tracy Turner and Carrie Menikoff have represented hundreds of students and faculty in these proceedings and have filed more than 20 lawsuits across the country that raise Title IX, due process, and defamation claims.

David also created a nationwide footprint serving religious and nonprofit organizations. Building on his core areas of expertise, employment law and civil litigation, David assists dozens of churches, church-related organizations, and other nonprofit organizations with a wide variety of matters, earning him recognition as one of Columbus, Ohio’s Best Lawyers for nonprofit organizations and charities in 2022.
David balances his commitment to being highly responsive to his clients’ needs with teaching part-time at Ohio State’s Moritz College of Law, spending time with his wife Kim and their four adult children, and his continuing involvement in ministry as a supply preacher and occasional officiant at weddings and memorial services.

For many years, Diane Jaquish has championed the rights of disabled individuals in Ohio and Kentucky by securing their Social Security benefits. She also lends her specialized knowledge to matters involving people living with epilepsy and traumatic brain injuries.

Along the way, the firm also worked hard to cultivate its local roots by welcoming attorneys Raymond (“Chip”) Moats and Tom Mulvey into of-counsel positions. Chip focuses on estate planning, business law, and municipal law, and Tom is a civil litigator focusing on domestic relations and insurance law.

All of these lawyers together to provide a full-service law firm for Licking County and beyond. If one of our attorneys cannot handle a matter, they will reach out to colleagues throughout Ohio and nationwide to make sure people have the help they need. Rosenberg & Ball’s goal is to work together to improve the lives of everyone in our communities through the law and service.
